Provinces of Pakistan
Pakistan has 5 provinces which are all beautiful and have their own different culture and heritage. These provinces are "Punjab" "KPK" " Sindh" "Blochistan" and "Gilgit-Baltistan"

Punjab
Punjab is the 2nd largest province of Pakistan after Blochistan it's area is 205,344 km2(79,284 sq mi).Punjab is Pakistan's most populous province, with an estimated population of 110,012,442 as of 2017. Punjab has 36 districts here is a map of punjab. 




What does Punjab mean..?
The name Punjab mean "Five Rivers" it's mean Punjab is land of five rivers which "Indus" "Ravi" " Chenab" "Jhelum" and " Sutleg"   these rivers are irrigation crops of Pakistan. From these rivers canal are connected. 

Capital of Punjab.
Lahore is a capital of punjab which is old and beautiful city of Pakistan. Lahori says that "Jiny Lahore Ni vekhya o Jamya e Ni"
Lahore is 2nd populous city of Pakistan after Punjab and one of the wealthiest city of Pakistan with an estimated GDP of $58.14 billions as of 2015. Lahore also have some old and national buildings which are "Badshahi Masjid" Lahore fort" "Minar-e-Pakistan" "Data Darbar" "Shalimar Bagh" "Tomb of Jhangeer"   "Bagh e Jinnah" 

The Indus River.
Indus river, one of the largest rivers in the World, it's delta being one of the oldest, is home to Indus Valley Civilization. It flows through biggest mountain ranges of the world including Himalaya and Karakoram in the Northern part of Pakistan and passes through the whole country to merge into Arabian Sea in the south. All important rivers of Pakistan fall in it and it's water is used to meet power needs of the country. The length of Indus River is 3180Km





The Ravi River.
The Ravi River is a transboundary river crossing northwestern India and eastern Pakistan. It is one of six rivers of the Indus System in Punjab region. The waters of the Ravi are allocated to India under the Indus Water Treaty.The length of Ravi is 720Km






The Chenab River.

river that flows in India and Pakistan, and is one of the 5 major rivers of the Punjab  region. It rises in the upper Himalayas in the Lahaul and Spiti districtof Himachal Pradesh state, India, and flows through the Jammu region of Jammu and Kashmir into the plains of Punjab, Pakistan, before flowing into the Indus river near the city of Uch Sharif  The waters of the Chenab were allocated to Pakistan under the terms of the Indus  Waters Treaty.







The Sutleg River.

The Sutlej River, is the longest of the five rivers that flow through the historic crossroads region of Punjab in northern India and Pakistan. The Sutlej River is also known as Satadree. It is the easternmost tributary of the Indus River. It is 2nd largest river of Pakistan. Length of Sutleg is 1450 km 







The Jhelum River.

The Jhelum River is a river in northern India and eastern Pakistan. It is the westernmost of the five rivers of the Punjab region, and passes through the Kashmir Valley. It is a tributary of the Indus River and has a total length of about 725 kilometres





The World's larges canal System.
Pakistan has world largest canal system which is connected with these rivers then the water of rivers flow in different canal and then it  irrigate crops of Farmers. Irrigation from Indus waters has provided the basis for successful agriculture since time immemorial. Modern irrigation engineering work commenced about 1850, and, during the period of British administration, large canal systems were constructed. In many cases, old canals and inundation channels in the Sindh and Punjab regions were revived and modernized. Thus, the greatest system of canal irrigation in the world was created.





Culture and Tradition of Pakistan.
The culture of Punjab is close to nature. People of Punjab are simple and hardworking as Punjab is agriculture land so most of the people of Punjab belongs to farming profession. They spend most of their time in their fields they look after their crops like their children. People of Punjab speaks Punjabi. Most famous crops of Punjab are "Wheat" "Rice" "Corn" "Cotton" "Sweet potatoes" "Potatoes" "Pea" "Soyabean"  Pakistan has varieties of rice but 3 varieties are famous for their taste.
There are 3 kinds of rice varieties in Pakistan, which are produced for local consumption and export. These are Basmati (aromatic), IRRI variety (medium long grain) and bold grain (cold tolerant varieties). Throughout the world, Basmati rice is quite famous for its pleasant aroma combined with eating qualities and perfect cooking. The medium long grain rice varieties are usually produced in Sindh region and provide superior yield than basmati rice varieties.

Tradition.
The traditional dress of Punjab is Kurta and dhoti and Punjabi turban. Punjabi people do bhangra on wedding and their women sing Punjabi songs, Gidda folks, Dholki, Mehandi, Batna, these are some weeding traditions of Punjab 





Punjabi people have their own interesting game according to their old tradition which are "Guli danda" "Thepu Garm" Bandar kela" "Lukan Machai" Kabadi" "Dog Fight" "Ada Khada or stapu"  "Banty" Bull race " are famous games. Some pictures of these games are below








Local food of Punjab.
Punjabi people love eating food. They love spicy Desi food. Punjabi people do their breakfast with "Roti Desi makhan(Butter),Lassi, Chatni, and Shakar" after breakfast people go to their fields and work their when they get tired then their wives bring lunch for their husbands luch mostly simple roti with different  curry like "Sarson da sag" " Aalo Ghobi" and sometimes "Beef" and "Rice"






Punjabi are warm welcoming to their guests.
Punjabi people do have lot of qualities they are simple, close to nature, and warm welcoming to their guests. They believe that guests are blessings of God so they treat with their guests with open heart they keep care of them, provide them good food nice cloth,and always respect them .

Punjabi Folk Music.
Punjabi people do love with their Punjabi Folk Music with amazing lyrics. is the  traditional music  on the traditional musical instruments of the Punjab region of Pakistan. There is a great repertoire of music from the time of birth through the different stages of joy and sorrow till death.The folk music invokes the traditions as well as the hardworking nature, bravery and many more things that the people of punjab get from its gateway to Pakistan geographical location. Due to the large area with many sub-regions, the folk music has minor lingual differences but invokes the same feelings.

Folks songs.
Punjab has folk songs on birth, marriage, funeral, death, love, separation, beauty, social and economical status, village lifestyle, food, nature, bravery, folklores and folktales, folk romances, folk and historical heroes, festivals and many more. The songs of professional castes of Punjab are also included in the folk songs. They can be divided into the following categories:
